Late in 1978, Kurt associated with the popular television program for children, The Magic Garden. Kurt had been close with Carole Demas, (the original Sandy in Grease and the original Genevieve in The Baker's Wife), one of the program's stars. He suggested to both Carole and her co-star, Paula Janis, that there might be a big market for major live performances of the show. For the next four years the show toured up and down the East Coast playing to thousands of children - sometimes as many as 4,000 fans a day. What fun!
